Drains, drain covers & underwater features

DRAINS & COVERS · FITTINGS · SUBMERGED FEATURES

Evaluate drains, drain covers, suction outlet fitting assemblies, returns, and other submerged features through documentation review and scoped inspections. Our certified divers can examine underwater components directly when the scope calls for it.

Drain-cover compliance reviews address applicable Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA) requirements and ANSI/APSP/ICC-16 2017, including product identification and certification, flow ratings, sump compatibility, installation requirements, fasteners, and physical condition. We assess proposed replacements for suitability and document findings, information gaps, and corrective priorities.

We help establish inspection and replacement schedules using each product’s manufacturer-specified service life, installation date, condition, and applicable local requirements. Replacement timing is specific to the product and installation; damage or other deficiencies may require action before the scheduled replacement date.
